A New Look for Fall

You won’t believe ECA’s new look! Interior architect Allegra Skerbeck graciously offered pro bono advice on how we might make better use of our space. With her recommendations, new areas were carved out and merchandise categories moved around to make the shop easier to navigate and to let in more light.

The biggest changes are a new Kids Area and an Accessories/Women’s Shoes corner. In the southeast corner, shoppers can find children’s books, clothing, and toys, as well as games and puzzles for all ages. The space is big, open, and colorful. We’ve heard gasps of delight from many young customers when they see the new space. The Dressing Room corner in the back of the shop now contains all accessories and women’s shoes so that customers can comfortably try on shoes, bags, hats, scarves, and clothing in one central spot and style great new looks.

Items are better organized to make it easier for customers to find what they need. In the southwest corner, Housewares now holds all linens such as tablecloths, bedding, and towels. Pet Supplies have a larger shelf space to show the range of crates, feeding/water bowls, and toys available. Hardware and Electronics have also been consolidated for easier viewing. The 75% off clothing racks are now joined by 75% off shoes and accessories and larger signs so that bargain hunters can easily locate the biggest discounts in one spot.
