Donation Guidelines

We accept walk-in donations.  We do not accept donations on Wednesdays.  The cut-off time to bring in donations on other open days is 30 minutes before the end of business hours. It is best to call ahead to ensure that we are continuing to take donations that day as we sometimes become overloaded and need to cut off donations due to lack of room and volunteers. In addition, if you have a large load or unique items that you’re not sure we will accept, please call the shop to confirm your items can be accepted. Please review our donation guidelines below when choosing which of your gently used or new items to donate to ECA.

• Artwork

• Books (see additional guidelines below)

• Clothing and shoes (items should be clean and in very good to excellent condition—no rips, stains, pilling, etc.)

• Collectables

• Craft Supplies

• Electrical Items

• Furniture and décor (please call first or send email with photos to ecathriftshop@gmail.com  to see if we have room to accommodate furniture items)

• Gardening supplies

• Holiday items

• Household items

• Housewares including dishes, glassware, cookware, small appliances, kitchen tools and utensils (items should be clean and free of stains, chips, or visible wear)

• Jewelry

• Linens (see additional guidelines below)

• Tools

• Toys games and puzzles

Items We Do Not Accept

• Adaptive bathroom equipment (commodes, raised toilet seats, shower/bath chairs)

• Adaptive walking/mobility devices (walkers, canes, crutches, etc.)

• Appliances (large)

• Barbeques/grills

• Bed frames, box springs, mattresses

• Bed pillows and mattress pads/toppers (OK if new in original packaging)
