March at ECA

ECA’s Store Manager, Susan Smith, checks in. Email her at ecathriftshop@gmail.com

This is my tenth year volunteering at ECA, a place I love. The shop is my home away from home where I can share my skills and energy for work, meet great friends, and help the hundreds of folks who pass through our doors. In addition to providing vouchers, grants, and free items to the community, I like to remember how we help everyone who enters our shop. We provide a clean, organized, and affordable space full of necessities and treasures. Most importantly, we appreciate the humanitiy and dignity of our shoppers—we strive to be welcoming, accepting, and friendly to everyone who joins us. We are committed to keeping ECA a place where kindness and community matter.

Before COVID, we used to pick up good quality furniture from donors’ homes. We no longer have access to a vehicle that would suit this purpose. If anyone a) has a truck to rent to us periodically, 2) wants to volunteer their time and truck driving to help with furniture pick ups, or 3) knows of an inexpensive truck we could purchase, please contact me at the shop at 425-825-1877. Three more weeks until Spring!
